Jurij Sinicyn
Jurij studied at Klaipeda Polytechnic College from 1977 to 1981 and graduated as a technician-technologist with a diploma in 'Metal Processing through Cutting'. He continued his education by studying at Klaipeda High Nautical School from 1988 to 1992 as a technician-ship mechanic with a diploma in 'Ships Power Installation and Operations'.
He gained further experience by working as a turner in the Klaipeda Shipyard - finishing on Grade 6, which is the highest level.
In 1993, he graduated with an 'Engineer of the Watch' diploma after completing his 12 months sea service as motorman.
From 1999, Jurij has worked for Geoshipping in Bergen as Chief/second engineer of dynamic position Class 2 and ROV-support vessels.
He joined the NAFC Marine Centre in September 2007 as engineering lecturer, bringing with him considerable experience in the marine engineering field having worked on ships with Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Alpha, Zulzer and Deutz engines.
