General Engineering Courses

 

The following courses are offered by the Engineering Section:

Craft and Technician Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering

A 3-4 year course for those commencing employment in the Engineering Industry. The course comprises of the National certificate in Engineering/Electrical Engineering Practice, SVQ Performing Engineering Operations Level II and SVQ Engineering Maintenance/Fabrication/Welding Level III.

SQA National Certificate in Engineering/Electrical Engineering Practice

A one year, full-time course aimed at new entrants to the industry which has been designed to have a practical bias in order to give a broad-based introduction to general engineering skills.
