A range of services

The NAFC Marine Centre in Shetland provides training, marine science, research and quality management services to support the nautical, fisheries, engineering, aquaculture and food industries.

 

Within these pages you will find information on our different departments: the Shetland School of Nautical Studies dedicated to Merchant Navy and fisheries training including nautical, engineering and aquaculture courses; Marine Science and Technology pursuing new research to support the growth of many of Shetland's industries; and the independent quality assurance organisation - Shetland Seafood Quality Control.

 

We also have an onsite restaurant, Da Haaf, serving a wide variety of tasty seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes using local produce.
