SVQ Aquaculture Course
The Marine Science and Technology department run the Scottish Vocational Qualification in aquaculture. It is a practical course, designed to allow candidates to prove their ability to perform their job to a high standard. It is a vocational course and as such candidates need to be employed on an aquaculture facility. The course can be delivered by block release or distance learning. Level 2 (with an emphasis on practical skills) and level 3 (with an emphasis on supervisory skills) are available. The courses currently delivered at NAFC are as follows:
- SVQ Aquaculture level 2 (salmon-sea)
- SVQ Aquaculture level 2 (salmon-fresh)
- SVQ Aquaculture level 2 (shellfish)
- SVQ Aquaculture level 3 (salmon-sea)
